The Championship Football League is the second series of
English football league, introduced in 2004 to replace the First Division
(Second Division until 1992).
Represents the greatest championship of the Football League and is often called
The Championship Coca-Cola
Football League Championship for sponsorship
reasons.
There are a total of 24 teams, each one plays 46 matches in total. The first two
teams are promoted directly to the Premier League, with the winner of the play-off
teams from third to sixth position. The last three teams are relegated to the
Football League 1, that is the third series.
After the score, the teams are rated on the following criteria:
1. goal difference
2. number of goals scored
3. Direct clashes or detached ranking (in the case of three or
more teams in a tie)
Possibly it is a play-off matches.
History
The first edition, in the 2004-05 season, had an inflow of 9.6 million viewers,
making it the fifth
world championship after the Premier League,
the Spanish Liga, the German Bundesliga and Italian Serie A . But more than that
